Couple more elements then I can drop in the text and put this to bed. This is the final thing I have to do for the show coming up in a couple of weeks.

If you haven’t read it, there’s a sobering account by Mark Waid on the nigh futility of indie publishing within the DM. Then there’s Brian Wood’s spin on it. In a nutshell, I’d give up on Diamond entirely and just go the POD/digital download route. I’m fortunate to live within driving distance of some great indie-loving shops but that’s not a fair snippet of the direct market. There’s probably 20 or 30 other shops that are glorified subscription services with an address.

S.P.A.C.E. will cheer me up.
